We’ve donated two properties to date to Realty Gift Fund – one in 2023 and one in 2024.Nothing is simple, especially when it comes to the US tax code, and RGF helped us understand and follow the rules and stay compliant so we could remain focused on the real estate portfolio.

RGF collects a small share of the net proceeds for its work. Well worth it (in our opinion).

Giving blesses others and blesses the donor, and it’s a lot of fun.

RGF helps to make donating illiquid assets, like real estate, less complicated and makes charitable contributions even more fun!

Realty Gift Fund were great partners with my wife and I as we endeavored to determine the best path forward on my late parents’ home.  We live out of state so managing renovations and sale would have been a heavy lift.  Bruce and his team outlined a simple process for us that enabled us to donate the fully appraised value to charity while also realizing the tax benefits associated with the appreciated asset.  It was simple, easy to understand, and RGF was a pleasure to work with.

Our family wanted to do something special with our longtime property and considered donating it to our favorite charitable group. But we had no idea how to do that and we thought it would take a very long time and be an arduous, expensive process. We nearly gave up on the idea until we were introduced to Bruce, Jay and Trevor at Realty Gift Fund. What a wonderful group. First phone call put us at ease and the process was miraculously easy and quick. We kept waiting for the "other shoe to drop" and have problems or delays. Quite the opposite. Unbelievably great process and the outcome was just as our family had hoped for. A big win for all. 

We worked with Realty Gift Fund on a gift of real estate from one of our donors. The property was in serious disrepair, from a cracked foundation to water in the basement. I was so impressed with how RGF managed the sale of such a challenging property. They also expertly managed the donor and his expectations. The sale was a long process and RFG kept us informed and updated every step of the way. At the finish, the property sold for a sizable increase from its original state, and the donor was so thrilled to learn how much money was going to Save the Children. All around it was a successful philanthropic partnership. We are excited for the next opportunity to work with Jay, Bruce and their team again.

When mid-year 2022, I decided to donate roughly 50% of the proceeds of the sale of my hotel, I thought it was a simple transaction.
